Wassail is a traditional German holiday beverage consisting of a warm\, spiced apple drink\, cranberry juice\, orange juice\, and other spices and flavors. It may contain alcohol (leaded) or not (unleaded).\n\nFree Shuttles and Parking\nPark for free at City Hall (550 Landa Street)\, hop on the shuttle\, and ride straight to the event. Shuttles will be running from 5-11 p.m. from New Braunfels City Hall\, 550 Landa Street. If you are parking downtown\, check our Downtown Parking Map to see where to park. \nFood\nVarious businesses\, nonprofits\, and organizations will sell food and drinks throughout the event. \nWassail Tasting Mugs\n \nThe 2025 edition of the official Wassailfest tasting mugs will be available online or at the Downtown Association booth at Wassailfest  ~  reserve yours now and pick them up at Wassailfest.  \nBeginning November 26\,  mugs will also be also available at\nThe Local (146 N. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate one of the most cherished traditions in New Braunfels… Wassailfest! \nWassailfest is an annual celebration in downtown New Braunfels\, where the community gathers to kick off the holiday season with free wassail tastings\, festive lights\, and live music from local school choirs. Attendees can sample a variety of unique wassail recipes from various businesses\, non-profits\, and organizations and shop from downtown businesses. \nWassail is a traditional German holiday beverage consisting of a warm\, spiced apple drink\, cranberry juice\, orange juice\, and other spices and flavors. It may contain alcohol (leaded) or not (unleaded). \n \nThe  New Braunfels Downtown Association is selling the 2024 edition of the official Wassailfest tasting mugs again this year. \nPlease note: There are a fewer number of Wassail tasting mugs available for 2024 due to a limited quantity of the small mugs available from our supplier. The mugs will be available online\, and can be picked up at Wassailfest. \nAny mugs left that are not pre-ordered will be available for sale at the Downtown Association Booth at Wassailfest. We cannot guarantee there will be mugs for sale that night\, so pre-ordering is recommended. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Main Plaza to kick off the holiday season with the lighting of beautiful\, downtown New Braunfels and Santa’s arrival! \nAbout\nCome kick off the holiday season with us! Mayor Neal Linnartz will address the crowd at 6:30 p.m. where he will count down and flip the switch\, turning on the dazzling display of lights downtown. After the lights are on\, Santa Claus is scheduled to arrive on a New Braunfels Fire Department fire truck and make his way to the NBU parking lot where families will have a chance to have their photo taken with Santa. The New Braunfels Community Band and the Canyon High School Steel Drum Band will provide entertainment until 8:30 p.m. \nPhotos\nPhotos will take place at the NBU parking lot near Main Plaza. Photos are $10 each\, with the proceeds benefitting the New Braunfels Parks Foundation. Please note that only credit card/debit card payments will be accepted\, and no one will be allowed to enter the line after 8:30 p.m. (those already in line at 8:30 p.m. will still be served). \nFood!\nEnjoy sausage on a stick\, snacks\, and hot chocolate for sale by the New Braunfels Downtown Association! You’ll be making downtown an even better place with every bite.   \nShuttle\nA free shuttle will be available from 5:30-9:30 p.m.  The shuttle will pick up riders at City Hall\, 550 Landa Street\, and drop off at West Mill Street.
