Painters will work their artistic magic on canvas as they visually interpret our town from dawn ’til dusk in a variety of artistic styles.\n ​​\nThe Quick Draw event will kick off TRPA on the evening of Oct 9th at Krause’s Cafe.  In this unique event\, artists will go from a blank canvas to a finished piece of art in just two hours!\n3pm – Horn Blows – Painting starts\n5pm – Horn blows – Painting stops\n5-7 pm Mix and mingle at Krause’s\n6:35 pm awards given\n\nThe main event starts the morning of Oct 10th\, when painters will hit the streets over the next three and a half days to create as many pieces as they can before the submission deadline at noon\, Oct 13th!  The public is encouraged to join in the fun\, and watch and interact with the Plein Air artists as they go about their work!

They take their name from Zack and Greg’s working class\, coastal hometown\, and the highway that runs from the mouth of the Brazos River to Galveston\, TX.\n\nAdditionally\, they’ve made three full-length albums blending modern and traditional sounds to create something timeless and familiar\, yet fresh and original. Their last album was Paper Airplanes\, produced by Cason Cooley\, and are very excited to introduce fans to Year of Dragon.
