In addition to the 2015 New Braunfels Downtown Association Wine Stroll this Thursday evening, Gruene Music and Wine Fest will also be among festivities rounding off the week. Recently, Wide Open Country published a top 10 Rising Texas Country Artists You Need to Know article, and included William Clark Green, who’s on Sunday’s “Texas-style Music Fest” bill that caps off Gruene Music and Wine Fest.
Here’s what Wide Open Country had to say:
William Clark Green is one of the most exciting new artists in the Texas country world. Since the success of his second album, Rose Queen, Green has earned praise as a Red Dirt artist not afraid to test creative boundaries.
What he sounds like: Eli Young Band circa Jet Black and Jealous mixed with an unmistakable vocal timbre that is part grunge, part swamp.
Required listening: Green went all in on his new album, Ringling Road. The track of the same name has a heck of a cool video (filmed in LA and co-produced by Josh Abbott and Evan Kauffman).
The Sunday show is held at Gruene Hall and is presented by 92.1 KNBT Radio New Braunfels. Jamie Lin Wilson (whom some of you may know from The Trishas) not only is on the Sunday lineup at Gruene Hall, but also made the top 10 list with Green. Find out where Jamie and William landed on the list by reading the full article here, and check out the video for William Clark Green’s “Ringling Road” below.
