Everyone knows and loves the iconic Huisache Grill’s fabulous food, service and décor. And, everyone loves it when it rains. This past week Susie Russell, general manager, had a hard time visiting with customers (or giving interviews to a blog writer) because, “When it rains the Huisache gets drenched with to-go orders.”
Girls just want to have lunch and since 1994 the Huisache has been the undisputed go-to spot in downtown New Braunfels. When it rains however, girls don’t want to mess up their fabulous shoes. The same goes for guys. So, during those times of downpour the expert kitchen staff at the Huisache get busy making and packaging their famous sandwiches, soups, salads and main courses to-go. Those who do wish to brave the elements will find the same welcoming staff, delicious food offerings and plenty of tables.
Every morning, Monday through Friday, the chefs create a special lunch offering. To get an email notification of the special each business day, all you have to do is click on the subscribe link at www.huisache.com or email: restaurant@huisache.com.
On Mondays, starting at 4:00, the Huisache offers half price select bottles of wine and this fall, starting on Thursdays in October, look for live music and $5.00 wine and appetizers. Don’t forget, for the holidays, gift cards are a great idea!
In addition to the Huisache Grill, the businesses behind the restaurant in the Grassmarket includes Princess Be, The Potting Shed, Clay Casa, Duckworth Violin, Mortgage Financila, Nash Bros. Boutique, Lot 59, the Crossing and The Art Cottage. They all add to the exciting dynamic of the Huisache experience in historic downtown New Braunfels.
The Huisache Grill offers a fresh, unique dining experience in a creative and comfortable space, drawing from the diverse cultural and culinary influences of the Texas Hill Country.
