California girl Karla Bonoff got her start in music by singing backing vocals for Linda Ronstadt. For several years she toured with Ronstadt and often opened shows for her. During this time, she honed her songwriting craft and supplied three hits for Ronstadt’s blockbuster album Hasten Down The Wind. In 1977 she started her solo career and released her debut self-titled album. Though she’s best known as a world class songwriter, Karla has an amazing singing voice. Fans of Linda Ronstadt will love Karla Bonoff. Karla’s albums often featured guests like Don Henley, James Taylor, J.D. Souther, Linda Ronstadt, Joe Walsh and Glenn Frey.
