$34 – $52The Red River Songwriters are a group of Central Texas-based musicians who came together to create an annual festival in Red River, New Mexico. Comprised of songwriters you know and love, Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson, Drew Kennedy, Josh Grider, and Kelley Mickwee, this group of friends reunites for this special performance to celebrate their love of songwriting and to promote their February festival that is now in its 14th year. Each show is unique, offering a fresh experience for audiences, and now you can see them – all five together – on The Brauntex Stage! Walt Wilkins has written over 100 songs recorded by other artists, released 9 solo albums, 4 albums with The Mystiqueros, and a record with his wife, Tina Mitchell Wilkins. He has also produced over 60 albums for other artists and continues to tour both the US and Europe. His song “Trains I Missed” recently earned the IBMA Song of the Year award. Susan Gibson, highly respected in the songwriting community, wrote “Wide Open Spaces,” the hit that catapulted The Chicks to stardom. She’s released 6 studio albums and runs songwriting workshops, including an online school. Her latest album is The Hard Stuff.
