Pop, rock singer Richard Marx’s career started with the release of his self-titled album released in 1987. A year prior to that, Marx was invited to come to Los Angeles by superstar Lionel Richie. He had heard a demo tape that Marx recorded in his hometown of Chicago and was impressed with his talent. For the next decade, Marx ruled the charts with one hit after another, including Hold on to the Nights, Don’t Mean Nothing, Satisfied and Right Here Waiting. He used the downtime during the pandemic to write his memoir, Stories To Tell. The book follows his life from his birth in the 1960’s thru present day, detailing his fourteen #1 songs and being one of the few artists to have written a No. 1 song in four different decades. With 30 million album sales to his credit, Marx is touring to promote his new book and greatest hits album, both sharing the title of Stories To Tell.
