Two Rivers Plein Art Quick Draw

Forty Plein Air artists from across the nation will gather in New Braunfels October 9-14, 2023, to create artworks that emphasizes the unique historical and natural beauty of the city and its environs. Painters will work their artistic magic on canvas as they visually interpret our town from dawn ’til dusk in a variety of artistic styles.
The Quick Draw event will kick off TRPA on the evening of Oct 9th at Krause’s Cafe. In this unique event, artists will go from a blank canvas to a finished piece of art in just two hours!
3pm – Horn Blows – Painting starts
5pm – Horn blows – Painting stops
5-7 pm Mix and mingle at Krause’s
6:35 pm awards given
The main event starts the morning of Oct 10th, when painters will hit the streets over the next three and a half days to create as many pieces as they can before the submission deadline at noon, Oct 13th! The public is encouraged to join in the fun, and watch and interact with the Plein Air artists as they go about their work!
