Celebrate one of the most cherished traditions in New Braunfels… Wassailfest!
Wassailfest is an annual celebration in downtown New Braunfels, where the community gathers to kick off the holiday season with free wassail tastings, festive lights, and live music from local school choirs. Attendees can sample a variety of unique wassail recipes from various businesses, non-profits, and organizations and shop from downtown businesses.
Wassail is a traditional German holiday beverage consisting of a warm, spiced apple drink, cranberry juice, orange juice, and other spices and flavors. It may contain alcohol (leaded) or not (unleaded).
The New Braunfels Downtown Association is selling the 2024 edition of the official Wassailfest tasting mugs again this year.
Please note: There are a fewer number of Wassail tasting mugs available for 2024 due to a limited quantity of the small mugs available from our supplier. The mugs will be available online, and can be picked up at Wassailfest.
Any mugs left that are not pre-ordered will be available for sale at the Downtown Association Booth at Wassailfest. We cannot guarantee there will be mugs for sale that night, so pre-ordering is recommended. Depending on availability, mugs from prior years will also be available.
