The Faust Hotel, in New Braunfels, Texas, originally dubbed the “Traveler’s Hotel”, is slated to reopen in 2025 and return to its roots as the city’s central meeting place after a full property renovation.
“The Faust Hotel will return to a refreshed 1920’s elevated ambiance. With an intent to preserve history and charm while elevating amenities, our goal is to ensure that The Faust remains a strong and welcoming historical landmark. Upon reopening, we plan to have multiple food and beverage outlets honoring the approachable Astro-German culture of New Braunfels. We will continue to cherish the history of The Faust while bringing her into the next century in style,” says owner, Andy Duettra.
After serving New Braunfels for nearly 100 years, the downtown hotel will close its doors, returning to bring an elevated-style to match the new feel. The 58-room property will offer a modern design, inspired by its roots from the 1920s. A new full-service restaurant/bar, to be named Wilhelm und Werner, a separate speakeasy, and upscale hotel amenities are to be expected. The hotel’s meeting and event space will be transformed to host social gatherings and group business. As the only hotel in downtown New Braunfels, The Faust Hotel is a popular location within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and retail shopping.Magnolia Patio, the hotel’s outdoor bar and light bites space, will also close during the renovation.
The hotel will continue to be managed by Lark Hotels. The Faust Hotel team looks forward to welcoming guests and visitors to experience the exciting beginning of the hotel.
