According to a recent post on the New Braunfels Police Department Facebook page, the Comal River has been closed to recreation until further notice:
New Braunfels, Texas — Due to heavy rains, the Comal River in New Braunfels will be closed for recreational use until further notice.
Heavy rain has increased the water levels on the Comal River causing the water to go over the Tube Chute dam.River conditions will be reevaluated Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. (October 25, 2015). At that time, a determination will be made about whether recreation can resume.
Another press release will be sent once that determination is made.
