New Braunfels practically wouldn’t be here had it not been for Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels. Prince Solms, as he’s come to been known around these parts, spearheaded the establishment of colonies of German immigrants in Texas. We think that makes him a pretty cool dude. The kind of dude that, if he were around today, you’d totally stop in the street and take a selfie with.
