New Braunfels practically wouldn’t be here had it not been for Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels. Prince Solms, as he’s come to been known around these parts, spearheaded the establishment of colonies of German immigrants in Texas. We think that makes him a pretty cool dude. The kind of dude that, if he were around today, you’d totally stop in the street and take a selfie with.
Well, now you can!
The Sophienburg Museum and Archives will be partnering up with Arlan’s Market who is a required stop during Wine Stroll. While you’re there take a selfie with Prince Solms, and register to win one of the Sophienburg’s “In New Braunfels In New Braunfels Ist Das Leben Schon” t-shirts. For you Auslanders, that translates to, “In New Braunfels, life is beautiful.” We think so, too!
